Explore with IHC!

Want to have some fun with friends? You're covered at IHC!

The IHC Community

Our students love to hang out together! We are a close-knit community, and our students regularly contact and see one another outside of co-op. Whether it's a book club, play date, or even a plan to play Minecraft together online, IHC students are always connecting with each other! Our members are united in being a positive influence for our children and supporting each of them as they grow.

Parents also come to IHC to "find their tribe"! Our moms and dads love to share their experience, whether it's in homeschooling, parenting, leading a class, or even making sourdough bread! We pool our strengths to ensure we are able to help each student become their best self when we are together. We also enjoy our free time during the co-op day to socialize, support one another, work, and sometime just bask in the silence!

Optional Field Trips

Interested in exploring with us beyond Mondays? We have at least two trips in central Indy each month: one to play and hike at a local park and one to explore a museum or special location. We enjoy time at the Indiana State Museum, Eiteljorg, Newfields, and Central Library. Our Events Coordinators always have something fun planned for our group!

IHC loves to explore farther too! Some of our annual favorites are an overnight trip to Biztown in Fort Wayne, Great Wolf Lodge, overnight excursions to Camp Tecumseh, a yearly bonfire and hayride at Southeastway Park, camping at Brown County State Park, and even farther. Trips to other states and even other countries are always more fun when you go with your friends! We love seeing all our world has to offer!
